1881 K. Hattori & Co., Ltd, predecessor of today's SEIKO HOLDINGS CORPORATION, established by Kintaro Hattori.
1892 Seikosha clock supply factory established; production of wall clocks begins.
1937 Watch production split off as Daini Seikosha Co., Ltd., predecessor of today's Seiko Instruments Inc.
1959 Suwa Factory of Daini Seikosha becomes independent as Suwa Seikosha, predecessor of today's SEIKO EPSON CORPORAION.
1968 Establishment of subsidiary in Hong Kong.
1970 Establishment of subsidiary in USA.
1971 Establishment of subsidiary in UK.
1974 Establishment of subsidiary in Brazil.
1977 Establishment of subsidiary in Australia.
1981 Establishment of representative office in Dubai.
1994 Establishment of representative office in Beijing.
2001 Establishment of SEIKO WATCH CORPORATION as part of the new SEIKO HOLDINGS CORPORATION.
2003 Establishment of subsidiary in China.
2007 Establishment of subsidiary in India.
2008 Establishment of subsidiary in Russia.
