The Grand Seiko Road Show with Seiko’s Master Craftsman

Seattle, Phoenix, and Beverly Hills, U.S.A

Seiko brought the art of fine watchmaking to three US cities this autumn, holding Master Craftsman events in Seattle, Phoenix and Beverly Hills.

Mr. Hideo Fukai, Seiko’s Master Craftsman, demonstrated the intricate movements in the Grand Seiko collection. Utilizing both Spring Drive 5R65 and Chronograph 5R86 movements to show how fine watches are asserted, Mr. Fukai, gave retailers and consumers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the creation of Seiko’s most coveted timepieces.

In addition, workshops were held on the setting of dials and watch hands, the creation of special ‘sun ray’ and ‘snow flake’ dials, and on case polishing.
